Beauty Soaps: Which one is for you?

Soap used to be just for cleansing, we hop in the shower then call it a day. But nowadays there’s a wide array of soaps on the market that addresses a variety of issues and it can get quite tricky and overwhelming to pick the right one for you.

Luckily, we’re here to help!

It all comes down to knowing your skin type and what you desire to achieve. There are products ranging from anti-acne, to whitening and anti-aging, or simply because you want soft and smooth skin. Check out our soap guide below:

Brightening – These soaps are the most popular ones in the market. They range from a variety of actives, mainly Papaya Enzymes; and rightfully so! Papaya has a ton of research backing it up as one of the most highly effective ingredients for brightening the skin. Rich in natural Anti-oxidants like Beta-Carotene (Vitamin A), Vitamin C, Lycopene and Phytochemicals, it is also very helpful in relieving inflammation caused by acne or sun-damage and restoring the skin’s overall glow. Our go-to Papaya cleansers are The CV Skin Triple Papaya Whitening Soap; enriched with premium Triple Papaya Enzymes for the very best brightening and The CV Skin Papaya Collagen Soap, enriched with Collagen for softer, youthful skin.

Not into Papaya? Then The CV Skin Bleaching Soap may suit you. Formulated with Glycolic Acid and Salicylic Acid to help exfoliate and reveal newer, brighter skin, Hydroquinone to reduce melanin production and Collagen to soothe and soften the skin. You can never go wrong with this one.

Dry and Sensitive Skin – We understand that not all skin-types can tolerate actives, especially those with skin conditions such as eczema, psoriasis and keratosis pilaris. If your skin is dry and sensitive , you might want to try soaps with soothing, healing and moisturizing properties such as Aloe Vera Extract and Goat Milk.

Aloe Vera has been used for many years as a soothing treatment for inflamed and irritated skin, especially if you’re exposed to the sun. It also helps to boost the healing of wounds and its great for reducing infection and controlling acne while also lightening the skin’s blemishes.

We also love Goat Milk, an effective but gentle ingredient for brightening sensitive skin. Goat milk has the same pH as human skin. So, when you cleanse with a goat milk product, you do not disturb the acid mantle, or the skin’s natural microbiome. That’s a game-changer if you’re dealing with sensitive skin issues, like eczema, psoriasis, or keratosis pilaris. Goat Milk also contains Lactic Acid, a natural humectant that works like a magnet to attract and retain moisture in the skin. That means goat milk skin care products can deliver a smoother, brighter, more hydrated complexion. Our favorite goat milk cleanser is CV Skin’s Goat Milk Soap, formulated with gentle yet effective ingredients to help your troubled skin.

So, which one do you choose?
